TAC Community Day: Clothing Swap & Style
Join the Textile Arts Center of Madison for a free community celebration of sustainability, creativity, and personal style on Sunday, September 20, from 11am–2pm.
Refresh your wardrobe without buying new! Bring clean, gently used clothing to swap, or give new life to pieces you already own. Throughout the event, textile artists and volunteers will lead hands-on modification stations where you can learn visible mending, embroidery, simple alterations, fabric stamping, patch-making, and other creative techniques to personalize your clothing. Whether you're covering a stain, repairing a favorite pair of jeans, or adding a one-of-a-kind design, you'll leave with new skills—and clothing that's uniquely yours.
No experience is necessary, and all ages are welcome. Come swap, stitch, create, and celebrate the possibilities of creative reuse with your community.
The event will also provide opportunities for:
