TAC will be celebrating with a final event in its current space before its summer move. Come say goodbye to TAC’s first home!

• Thomas C. Romero will be at TAC for a special screenprinting event. Bring your own t-shirt or tote to print using Romero’s bicycle-powered screenprinting set-up! (more detail below)

Thomas C. Romero alongside Hansen Screen Printing and Pedal Press of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, will be offering a community screen printing event during Madison’s Spring Gallery Night on Friday, May 16. This event will coincide with the closing of Romero’s solo exhibition at the Textile Arts Center, Quantum Color. 

This event will feature two designs for screen printing, one with the logo of the Textile Arts Center, and the second with an original design by Romero himself.  Each design will be offered in two colors.

Bring any blank t-shirt or tote bag to be printed!  We suggest bringing light colored shirts or bags for the best results.  We will also offer a variety of blank garments and bags in an assortment of colors that can be purchased, but supplies are limited and are on a first come basis. Participants can pull their own print, or we can print them for you.

This event will introduce audiences to the art of screen printing and encourage community engagement within the practices of printmaking and fiber arts.
